What is the Trenton Judo Club?

Trenton Judo Club is a judo program based at Otherworld Jiu Jitsu in Lawrence Township, serving Trenton and the greater Mercer County area. Our classes teach the throws, takedowns, and pins that make judo one of the most effective grappling arts in the world.

We train both in the gi and no-gi. Gi classes build a foundation in traditional judo, including grips, balance, footwork, and clean throwing technique. No-gi classes apply those same skills without the jacket, giving you takedowns that carry over to jiu jitsu, wrestling, and other grappling sports.

The program is led by Collin Wiemer, a judo and Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt who earned his judo black belt under Olympian Colton Brown.

As a JFLO affiliate, we also draw on the system built by Justin Flores, a former U.S. National Judo Team coach and BJJ black belt who has trained Ronda Rousey. Flores is a former Division I wrestler and one of grappling’s most respected takedown coaches, and his approach connects judo, wrestling, and jiu jitsu into one complete stand-up game.

Whether you’re stepping on the mat for the first time or adding stronger takedowns to your grappling game, you’ll get practical coaching and a welcoming room of training partners who will help you improve.
